April 2008 sucks
This month has just been one thing after another. I resolved the stuff with my roommate, so that is good. However the worst news of the month is that my grandmother has pancreatic cancer. The doctor gave her 6 months. Needless to say, this was a huge shock, we thought she was getting better and that the mass on her pancreas wasn’t a big deal. Charlie was with me when I found out and he was really sweet and supportive. I think I’m gonna start going home once a week for a visit.

My weekend was actually really good despite the news. I was home in RI on Friday night to hang out with Matt, Ciro and Laura, and Charlie, Bobby, Kim, and Dave came with me. We went to Murphy’s and Union Station Brewery and had a really fun time. Saturday we headed back here and that is when I heard the news about my grandma. I decided to go out with Charlie and his friends from high school anyway because I felt I needed the distraction and I’d spent enough of the afternoon dwelling on everything. I actually had a fun time and I’m glad I went out. His NH friends are really nice and a lot of fun. Charlie stayed till Sunday night, then I went and watched the Rock of Love Finale with Kim and Dave.

I’m actually looking at a few apartments this week. I’ve started to feel like living with four other people is becoming too much. Living alone would be my ideal at this point, but I can’t afford it. So tonight I’m looking at a place with just two other roommates living in it, and another place on Thursday. I haven’t really decided if moving is a great idea, but I figure it doesn’t hurt to at least look at a few places.

There are a lot of things this summer I was looking forward to. But, I’m not sure if I should go away anymore because I want to be close to home in case something happens. I guess I’ll have to figure something out, and just keep my schedule flexible.
